ROGER DALY

Professor Daly undertook his PhD studies at the University of Liverpool, UK and then held postdoctoral positions at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund, London followed by New York University Medical Centre. He established his own research laboratory at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, Sydney in 1993, where he conducted research for ~20 years. Professor Daly moved to Monash University in 2013 where he was Head of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology until May 2023. He is currently Co-Head of the Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute Cancer Program and Program Lead for Discovery and Innovation for Monash Partners Comprehensive Cancer Consortium. Professor Daly is an internationally recognised expert in growth factor receptor signalling and its deregulation in cancer. His recent work has characterized the signalling mechanism and function of the PEAK family of pseudokinase scaffold proteins and also applied mass spectrometry- based proteomics and kinomics to characterization of cancer signalling networks and identification of precision treatment strategies.
